What is Naturopathic Medicine?
Naturopathic medicine treats patients wholistically, taking into account the physical body, behaviour as well as lifestyle factors. The aim is to understand the root cause of disease, and develop an optimal strategy to achieve sustainable health.
It’s a personalised, hands-on approach that helps your body restore and maintain balance.
-
Naturopathic medicine begins with a focus on the true pillars of health: diet, exercise, sleep, and lifestyle. These fundamental aspects of life are the foundation for achieving optimal well-being. Even the smallest changes can spark significant transformations.
-
Your ND will additionally choose botanical medicine, acupuncture, body work, orthomolecular supplements, or homeopathic remedies to achieve more specific outcomes.
The treatments are selected based on the unique presentation of the patient.
-
Naturopathic doctors work collaboratively with patients to develop personalised health strategies, set achievable goals, and provide detailed health education.

about leeza
As a child, my hobbies included exploring mud piles, tending to plants, and playing doctor with stuffed animals — the signs were all there. Later experiences in the modeling and fitness industry pushed me to explore my body’s limits through more sustainable health approaches.
Inspired by these experiences — as well as some world travels along the way — I set out to become a naturopathic doctor. I earned my undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Guelph and am completed my Naturopathic medical training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto.
